FAQ'S

Why does this mission focus specifically on girl child education?

Reasons like gender discrimination, lack of menstrual healthcare and early marriage leads to girls in rural and poor families, who prefer educating their sons for financial reasons, dropping out of school. This is why 40% are out of school by the time they reach adolescence, doing household chores instead of preparing for further studies and gainful employment. An educated girl benefits society, as she is more likely to make sure her children, including daughters, are schooled. This affects many development indices, including health and economic progress.

Do I get the details of the beneficiary I will be supporting immediately after I subscribe to this mission? How often will I get a report on how my beneficiary is doing?

Yes, you will receive the name, age and details of the beneficiary, after you subscribe to the mission, in your registered email address. Once a beneficiary is assigned to you, you will receive periodic reports on the beneficiary’s progress.

When and how can I cancel my subscription to this mission?

Monthly giving helps donors like you stay invested in a program or cause, and support it for the long term. It also helps the NGOs have more consistent funding for their programs. If you wish to discontinue the subscription, you can do this directly from our website.

You can cancel your donations by following the steps below:

  1. Log in with your credentials to http://angelusindia.com/user
  2. Click on your profile icon on the right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. On the left side of the screen click on the "My Donation" tab and it will show the program(s) you have subscribed to.
  4. Click on cancel against the mission that you wish to deactivate.
  5. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation.

We won't charge you from the subsequent month after cancellation. For deactivating multiple subscriptions please select each mission individually and follow the above-mentioned steps.

What is the tax benefit that I will be receiving upon subscribing to this mission?

If you are an Indian taxpayer, donations to Angelus are eligible for 50% tax exemption under Section 80(G). If you are a US taxpayer, you can avail the tax exemption for donations made through 501(c)(3). As a UK taxpayer, your donation is eligible for Gift Aid.

Do all the NGOs associated with this mission come under Angelus’s strict due diligence process?

Yes, Angelus follows a robust due diligence process to verify all NGOs on their platform. All nonprofits associated with the missions are our GiveAssured partners and are cleared for legal and compliance procedures.

Can I support more than one mission on the Angelus platform?

Yes, of course. You may support as many missions as you wish to. To find all the missions go to Angelus’s Home page, click on the Donate drop down and click on the Monthly Giving tab. Find the Missions drop down on the Menu bar and select the mission/s you wish to support and follow the steps to subscribe. The details of the missions that you support will be on the ‘Your Profile’ page.

Can I establish contact with the beneficiary I support?

Please write to us at info@angelusindia.com with your request. Depending on the feasibility, we shall reach out to the non-profit partner and get more details. However, we do not allow donors to meet beneficiaries as they are not aware that they are being supported by specific individuals. This is especially a sensitive matter with children and youth.
